PROJECT SUMMARY
Bank Stabilization In-Stream
Environmental Construction, Special Project

Resolve Earthworks & Environmental Ltd. was direct awarded this work after successfully completing in-stream projects for the client.
The project scope included the following:
Due to a washout at high runoff the bank and roadway were eroded and in need of repair.
Multiple parties involved with the pre-planning and execution. Client project team, Environmental Consultant, Alberta Environment and The Department of Fisheries and Oceans (D.F.O).
Supply and install a temporary coffer dam to divert flow away from work area.
Install erosion control materials to ensure no turbidity changes within the river, downstream of the work area.
Site specific ECO Plan and Health And Safety Plan were developed to ensure construction was completed within the strict site permitting requirements as set out by Alberta Environment and D.F.O.
Specialized erosion control measures were implemented to comply with the surface runoff and water management plan for pre and post construction.
Fish salvage was completed prior to construction activities.
All work was executed as per design drawing and confirmed in the field via site inspection and survey.
Construction was inspected by design engineering firm and Alberta Environment with no recommendations or infractions.
Existing road materials were re-used post bank armouring and culvert installation.
To bring local value to the area during the construction, local subcontractors were prequalified and utilized when available.
